Nocciola Italia

Originated in Piedmont, Italy, Panna Cotta is one of the best known and frequently requested desserts. Our version of the Italians’ favourite consists of a crunchy hazelnut praline gelato (made from slow roasted Italian hazelnuts) topped on a soft, silky hazelnut panna cotta and served with a double shot of espresso on the side.

Dating back to the 1500s, Black Forest cake has been beloved by many around the globe. Originating in Germany, its birthplace has been the Black Forest region of Germany, which is known for its sour cherries and kirschwasser. Kirsche Schokolade is our version of the Black Forest cake. One look at this dessert and its decadence is evident. Every bite will unleash layers of chocolatey goodness and creamy delight.

Café Crème Brûlée

A symbol of indulgence and darling of the restaurant boom in the 1980s, Crème Brûlée is the quintessential French dessert. A rich vanilla custard topped with caramelized sugar and in our case, paired with our rich, flavourful Dark Espresso gelato. A sweet, creamy dessert that melts in your mouth with its smooth, cold custard and crunchy sugar top.

Banira Uji-cha

Consumed by Japanese in all forms, Matcha has always been a popular choice. With its distinct flavour, it makes it fun and easy to incorporate into desserts. Here at The Affogato Bar, we have paired matcha, Azuki beans (another favourite of the Japanese people) and vanilla into an intricate dessert. The bitterness of the matcha, sweetness of the Azuki beans and richness of the madagascan vanilla gelato creates a complex yet delicious flavour.

The Great Banoffee

Britain’s all time favourite - Banoffoe Pie. Easily mistaken as an American dessert, the Banoffee Pie was actually invented in Britain at the The Hungry Monk Restaurant in East Sussex. Taking inspiration from the classic combination of banana and toffee, we have paired our all time favourite Caramel Biscuits gelato with banana cake, fresh cream and house-made banana jam. Perfect for those with a sweet tooth.

Lamingtons Down Under

Believed to be named after Lord Lamington, Lamington is an Australian cake made from squares of butter cake coated with chocolate sauce and rolled in desiccated coconut, giving its distinctive texture. It remains a popular treat across Australia and New Zealand and has its own National Day on the 21st July. Talk about an Australian icon!
